Job Responsibilities

DevOps (30%)

  • Explore new technology based on "Best in Class" to drive efficiencies
  • Work closely with The Global Infrastructure Teams and Products and Platform Teams ensure enterprise solutions are considered first
  • Follow industry trends and build proof of concepts leveraging new cloud services.
  • Collaborate with business units to help architect, configure, monitor, and support their services.
  • Provides hands-on technical design and implementation ensuring technologies are successfully incorporated into our environments


  • Directly manage the APAC Infrastructure team, and oversee infrastructure activities on day to day, project, and strategic levels, staying aligned with global standards and policies, and staying aligned with the global leads in each infrastructure area. Establish a presence to position the role as a trusted IT Infrastructure advisor to key stakeholders - both internal IT and end user - providing business, strategic and tactical value at all times. Work effectively in a matrix environment reporting into the International Infrastructure Lead (10%)
  • Work closely with the IT Strategic Business partners and Global/Regional Function leads to understand strategic demand requirements and ensure quality customer relations with business unit leaders and promote / translate the IT strategy and align its IT Infrastructure components into regional requirements and delivery plans, which will drive region priorities (10%)
  • Act as the key APAC contact for all outsourced IT Infrastructure services, responsible for service quality, management, and delivery from the service provider(s) in the region (10%)
  • Implement working practices, procedures & disciplines necessary to assure the services delivered within the region, through a mix of staff and sourcing providers, reflect IT vision and strategy
  • Lead and enable a culture of excellence that drives efficiency, productivity, quality, and customer service through automation, use of new technologies and new service models
  • Monitor the quality of IT Infrastructure services and establish strategic plans for function to delivery exceptional service and quality
  • Develop a cost efficient, robust and scalable infrastructure aligned with Enterprise Architecture guidelines
  • Develop and manage annual capital and expense budgets for all regional Infrastructure components reflecting and aligning to IT financial requirements.
  • Develop demand forecasts with the regional team to assist the service teams in planning and delivering end-to-end services.
  • Review business and IT driven project proposals that impact IT Infrastructure and resources ensuring standards alignment and execution capability.
  • Prepare and recommend operating and personnel budgets for approval. Monitor spending for adherence to budget, recommends variances as necessary.
  • ITIL process ownership and development, in coordination with Global, to include:

  • Job Requirements

    • Degree holder with over 10 years experiences in IT management, demonstrated increase in responsibility, with a minimum of 5 years infrastructure management and standards implementation;
    • Strong and well-rounded infrastructure expertise across the core disciplines:
      • Networking/LAN/WAN, Desktop, Server infrastructure, Storage, Data Center operations, Voice environment, etc.
      • Advanced knowledge of industry standard DevOps tools (CI/CD, GoCD, Git, scripting, Gradle, Maven, Chef, Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes);
      • Agile software development (from documentation, tasks management thru delivery);
      • Project management, Risk Management and Scrum Master;
      • Version control systems such as SVN and CI (continuous integration) tools;
      • Micro-service architectures. Decoupled systems and how to build them
      • Cloud computing design and security principles;
      • General monitoring principles - tools like Zabbix. New Relic. AppDynamics etc.
      • Writing technical documentation for a technical audience.
    • A clear understanding of "IT As a Service" such as Software, Platform and Infrastructure;
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills especially dealing with complex infrastructure resources and application deployment issues;
    • In-depth knowledge of operational management practices and the ability to understand and solve technology-based issues;
    • Strong technical understanding and ability to translate technical requirements and specifications into easy to understand business concepts;
    • Be able to partner with global and regional stakeholder in a matrix organization; with background working in a multi-vendor IT sourcing environment;
    • Strong leader and be able to demonstrate change leadership and team building skills.
