Job Description

This is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 2 years with possibility for renewal subject to organization need and individual performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the technical support lead in managing Baggage Tracking System (BTS) to ensure timely, quality and within budget systems implementation
  • Assists the Manager to develop user requirements, perform requirements assessment, develop functional design, solution design and specifications for contractors based on business requirements
  • Develop and implement quality assurance and carry out production commissioning
  • Assist in meeting agreed project objectives, service delivery standards and timelines, stakeholder expectation and user requirements
  • Liaise and coordinate with a diverse range of internal/external stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers in relation to planning, project management and support functions and provide technical collaboration and consultation for colleagues in the area related to airport baggage handling, tracking and reconciliation
  • Develop project implementation plans with detailed breakdowns, keep on liaising with user departments on software design, setting up technical infrastructure and managing system interfaces
  • Manage data, reports and related information to facilitate effective project administration and contract compliance
  • Supervise different contractors on performing FAT, SAT and UAT
  • Monitor the performance of the responsible application systems to identify areas of possible enhancement; and close out outstanding system issues by implementing fixes or upgrades
  • Ensure smooth transition of system operations by providing instructions and expert advice to first level support staff

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Information Technology, Computer Science or related disciplines
  • A minimum of 5 years' relevant working experience in which at least 4 years' experience in Project Management and Stakeholders Engagement
  • Holder of Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification and / or Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Certification is preferred
  • Expertise in system development life cycles and engineering methodologies. Knowledge in aviation and/or airport industry, civil aviation and Government System interface protocols are preferred
  • Proven application development and support experience in large scale, mission critical systems
  • Proven experience in design and implementation of airport baggage tracking or reconciliation system
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
