Job Description

  1.  Analyze sales, margins and operating expenses and provide recommendations for the achievement of financial targets
  2.  Work with functional heads to identify opportunities to improve margins and optimize costs. Have clear and actionable plan to track these action plans
  3.  Encourage and implement finance business controlling best practices across the functional departments
  4. Proactively look at risks to the business through keeping abreast with latest happenings within the functional departments and recommending alternatives to the relevant senior management teams to mitigate the risks
  5.  Ensure accurate and timely submission of management accounts that thoroughly analyzes sales, gross margins, operating expenses.
  6.  Support the preparation of the financial review slides to country management
  7.  Work closely with the APAC controllership group and various business units to improve the cash and capital employed in the business
  8.   Be a key support in the annual budgeting and forecasting process by working closely with the functional teams. Support in preparing templates, tools for Ad-hoc analytics & and presentations to articulate these plans
  9.  Provide analytical support to the operations team to interpret operational and financial reports in the areas of cost and yield improvement, new projects and productivity
  10.  Steer, develop and motivate the direct reports for individual and company’s objectives, to ensure the necessary quality and quantity of staffing for current and future needs
  11. Initiate and execute Performance management process
  12. Communicate on strategy and business results on a regular basis with the management team. Engage dialogue to keep the communication flowing
  13. Implement and comply with Group Policies, legal requirements and external regulations. Work with Regional Legal to ensure minimal legal exposure upon critical decisions of the company
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Accounting / Statistics or related fields, preferably with a post graduate accounting degree or MBA
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in MNCs
  • Good understanding of credit risk, financial exposure and setting credit limits
  •  Experience in financial planning and analysis
  •  Experience in the transportation/logistics/supply chain management industry with commercial awareness is advantageous
  •  Regional reporting experience is required
  •  Proficient in financial modelling and competent in financial analysis tools such as Excel
  • Knowledge of principles and techniques used in conducting management studies, system analyses and financial analyses
  • Team oriented with proven interest in people development
  • Good communication, time management and relationship management skills
  • Self-motivated, service-minded, well-organized and results-oriented.
