Job Description

Scope of Role

Reporting to the Head of Content, Asia, the Content Planning Specialist is responsible for executing the content strategy locally and source for new content and work closely with other team members to align planning, execution and analytics for content marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Content Creation Specialists, external content creators as well as other teams in SEEK (e.g., Marketing) to align planning, execution and analytics for content development and marketing
  • Take ownership of quality control and review the content in detail to ensure that all output, whether by internal or external content creators, adheres to ISO principles and SEEK’s guidelines and reflects SEEK’s vision, mission and values2
  • Understand industry needs, trends and innovations to best identify and formulate Careers & Connect content needs
  • Develop a network of Subject Matter Experts across Careers & Connect to facilitate content development
  • Lead the development of storyboards and ensure storyboards support the content’s key messages and needs
  • Manage all stages of the content creation process from developing the scope, to sorting out logistics, to ensuring successful content production and robust editorial review
  • Regularly track the status of deliverables, raising red flags for any issues or delays and acting quickly and decisively to resolve them
  • Lead the Content Creation Specialists in managing the sourcing and budget for content development

Key Metrics

  • Success of specific initiatives led (e.g., business results, timeliness and budget spend)
  • Contribute to growth in reach, engagement, traffic, lead generation and SEO as well as user engagement conversion rate
  • Contribute to growth of organic users
  • Contribute to improvement of user retention

Skills, Experience and Competencies

The successful candidate should meet the following requirements:
  • An undergraduate degree or higher in Marketing, Communication, Business, Public Relations, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years' working experience in content creation with proven track record of delivering results
  • Team player – works collaboratively with others in the team and across the organisation, respecting diversity and valuing differences in opinion
  • Analytical - structured thinker who places emphasis on data-driven decision-making
  • Sound judgement and decision-making ability – able to operate autonomously and provide clear, decisive guidance when consulted
  • Customer-centric mindset – always striving to meet customer needs, viewing the journey from their perspective and mindfully incorporating their feedback into solutions wherever possible
  • Strong communicator and compelling storyteller – able to narrate a convincing, insight-based, customer-centric story
  • Innovator – continuously seeks to improve the status quo, conceives creative solutions to business problems and is willing to take a calculated risk to test them out early and often
  • Industry knowledge – exhibits a keen awareness of customer desires, market trends and competitor offerings, with the ability to apply this knowledge practically
  • Marketing – possess insight to operationalise and advertise new offerings and promotions
  • Digital media – possesses a strong foundation and considerable experience in all stages and formats of multimedia content production
  • Fluent in English and local language (as applicable)
