The Role
The Senior Sales Director is a newly created position to shape our sales and scale revenue to the next level.
As part of the senior management team, the role will provide key leadership across the business and spearhead the creation and development of the business strategy, including evaluation of new geographies and market segments.

Responsibilities   

Sales Management

  • To take ownership and exceed sales targets through development and implementation of the Market Sales Activity Plan in alignment with the APAC business plans.
  • Develop and maintain executive level relationships within existing customers, target vertical opportunities and Channel partners and make the Go-to-Market plans available for each Channel Partner.
  • Identify, develop, and manage new business and technology partnerships.
  • Support on-going improvement on pricing policies and structures, warranty and logistics costs, and other costs related to the product at hand.
  • Supervise the sales team in handling distributor/reseller agreements and structures, including setting the KPIs and building workflows and metrics for the team.
  • Liaise with Head of Marketing in developing sales plans in order to reach or surpass sales and revenue targets.
  • Partner with Product Management to identify product gaps or enhancement ideas and contribute to development of long-term vision/product strategy of the business.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure market specific customer requirements are communicated and integrated into plans; and ensure a holistic and unified approach to all customers.

Performance Tracking

  • Responsible for sales performance (revenue and units) monthly tracking, providing updated forecasts in line with the financial planning process to ensure continuous and appropriate supply.
  • Support the Implementation and continuous improvement of the operational processes: stock management & availability processes, etc. and integrated systems to drive team efficiency, accurate management reporting.
  • Partner and collaborate with internal functions for ensuring success with customer engagement and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure a focus on quality internal and external service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

People 

  • Hire, lead, develop, inspire, and motivate the team to deliver against regional, business and team objectives by role modelling Servant Leadership. 
  • Identify and proactively develop immediate deputy/successor to have the confidence, competence, and commitment to lead the team/project when in need.
  • Champion the Otter Culture and drive employee engagement across the team.

The Profile   

  • University degree. MBA or postgraduate degree is highly preferred
  • Possess extensive knowledge of sales principles and practices, and an ability to coach others on them.
  • Minimum 15 years hands on sales management and strategic business development in channel partners in the region, preferably in Telecommunications and Consumer Electronics industries, and 5+ years strategic sales management experience leading a multi-geographic sales organization
  • Solid track record of over-achieving revenue targets across a multi-team organization
  • Experience and enthusiasm for successfully leading the business transformation 
  • Superior negotiation skills with customers and business partners.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management of multiple sales teams, driving high performance and a culture of accountability
  • Strong working knowledge of Salesforce system
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills and working across functions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong presentation skills, in person and virtually
  • Fluent spoken and written English is a must, Chinese (able to read and write), any other Asian language will be an advantage
